Funded in 2008 in Buenos Aires, Compania Lumiato is the first to research, explore and disseminate shadow theatre in the Brazilian Centre-West region. The company was created by Thiago Bresani and Soledad Garcia during their professional training as puppeteers at Universidad Nacional de San Martin, Argentina, where they were introduced to various animated theatre techniques, produced shows, workshops and presented in Latin American festivals.    

Since 2012, the company has focussed exclusively on the research and production of contemporary shadow theatre shows, improving their techniques and aesthetics, and enchanting children and adults through this fantastic universe.

The group works on projects of regional and national scales, and hold the dissemination of knowledge as their main goal.
